PLESIOSAUR FOSSIL
Plesiosaurs, now extinct, were large predatory marine reptiles which lived between 170 and 70 million years ago. They swam using powerful hydrofoil-like flippers similar to those of present day turtles. This fossil shows the bones of a fore-limb including the flipper.
